Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) based in our Edinburgh office. The HRBP will support the European Head of HR to direct, develop, implement and manage all People Strategies with Leith and Stripe, in line with the overall Enterprise People Plan, to continuously support the needs of the business.

The HR BP will work closely with the organisation’s senior leadership to develop an agenda that closely supports organisational goals, supports the business’ needs, and delivers an outstanding HR service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

•People Strategy Development and Implementation

•Work with the business CEO’s and business Leadership Teams to develop business-specific people strategy and best practice processes that support the business’ needs

•Working closely with the EU Head of HR and the Global HR Team to continue to define, develop and implement all aspects of the Enterprise People Strategy, ensuring the needs of Leith and Stripe are taken into account

•Employee Relations including managing formal employee relations cases, such as disciplinary, performance management and grievance issues

•Be a highly visible HR leader and focal point for HR excellence within companies, providing guidance and supporting the leadership team and senior management teams within each business

•Provide expert advice to the organisation re; people-related issues and activities by coaching and supporting line managers through employee relation challenges

•Drive the continuous development of fair HR policies, processes and procedures that reflect the culture of the organisation

•Work closely with Line Managers to ensure such policies and processes are fairly and consistently implemented and managed throughout the organisation

•Continue to develop and implement reward and recognition strategies and processes, including salary benchmarking, development of staff benefits, annual salary reviews and annual bonus processes

•Continue to develop and implement a Performance Management process that includes the use of 360 feedback and formal objective setting

•Supporting the Recruitment function, to ensure recruitment strategies are implemented and facilitated according to the business’ needs

•Work closely with the Leadership Teams of each business to develop and facilitate the implementation of Learning Plans

•Facilitate Talent Management processes, including formalised job role profiles, promotion processes and competency frameworks

•Provide monthly People data analytics and reporting as required

•Support the European Head of HR with project work as required

•Manage the HR team within the Edinburgh office

The successful candidate will:

•Be qualified to degree level and will hold a minimum CIPD Level 5 or equivalent

•Have a minimum of 5+ years of HR experience, ideally coming from an HR Business Partner background

•Have the ability to work independently with a wide breadth of HR knowledge, and a good understanding of the specialist HR areas

•Have strong and up to date knowledge and experience of Employment Law and general legislation

•Have a proven track record of developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and processes to drive a high performance culture

•Have experience of working with key stakeholders and employees at all levels, with strong verbal and written communication skills

•Be a proactive team player who maintains a real emphasis on relationship building
