PensionBee’s mission is to make pensions simple, so everyone in the UK can look forward to a happy retirement. As our product is for everyone, PensionBee’s vision is to help all people achieve a happy retirement in the form of financial freedom, good health and social inclusion.

This vision will guide the work of the ESG manager, working closely alongside the Chief Engagement Officer to support the delivery and measurement of existing environmental, social and governance initiatives across the business. The ESG manager will help us to report to all our stakeholders on the key metrics around our social and environmental impact.

In April 2021 PensionBee listed on the London Stock Exchange and in preparation for incoming climate-related and other financial regulation, we are looking for someone with prior experience in an ESG, climate reporting or responsible investment role. Currently we disclose workforce transparency under the Workforce Disclosure Initiative, where we are also an investor signatory.

We believe an inclusive company is crucial to building an inclusive product. PensionBee is an advocate for gender equality, and has achieved 50% gender parity across all levels of our business. We welcome applicants from non-financial backgrounds, such as the charity or sustainability sectors, although an understanding of the regulatory environment is required.

  • Managing the process of annual reporting under existing frameworks WDI, SECR, TCFD
  • Owning the timeline to prepare the business for future reporting frameworks
  • Engagement with asset managers, companies and other stakeholders on responsible investing
  • Development and implementation of long-term voting strategy
  • Maintenance of ESG policy set
  • Working with our legal and corporate teams to ensure compliance with all our regulatory requirements
  • Staying ahead of ESG trends and developments

  • Fast learner with a hands on approach and willingness to take on new responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of ESG landscape and understanding of related reporting frameworks: SECR, TCFD, SASBE, UNGC, WDI, UK Stewardship Code.
  • Empathy, with energy and enthusiasm for our mission
  • Clear written and spoken English

Equal opportunity

We welcome all candidates and are proud to have been awarded Employer of the Year at the Financial Adviser Diversity in Finance Awards 2020.
