Job Description
Corin UK is seeking a NPI (New Product Introduction) Quality Engineer who will be working as part of a global, high performing team which strives to introduce new products to the company, through to production.This is a Quality Engineering role oppose to a Quality Assurance role, we are looking for a candidate who have a degree or equivalent in Engineering ideally Biomedical or Mechanical. You will experience in introducing new products into a manufacturing environment and be able to understand technical drawings and work with the Production Engineers to bring them to life following the necessary quality processes and procedures.

The key responsibilities for the NPI Quality Engineer will be to;
- Provide quality engineering support for validation and verification activities for existing and new production processes.
- Deliver quality engineering support for the new product introduction (NPI), both internally and liaising with suppliers.
- Process capability studies and analysis, setting benchmarks and best practice.
- Work on entire projects of varying complexity and many phases / sub-tasks of projects with their results impacting on milestones or project completion.
- Monitor and report any transient areas of risk.
- Provide quality engineering support and training where leadership is required for inter-departmental projects.
- Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in line with Corin’s ISO13485 QMS amp; Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) FDA21 CFR Part 820 .
- Ensure that process amp; timeline requirements for Corrective amp; Preventive Actions (CAPA) are met in accordance with Corin’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and in support of Corin’s Global Objectives for CAPA.PT
Requirements
An ideal PPI Quality Engineer will have;
- An engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HND/HNC, degree) - Mechanical or Biomedical engineering ideally
- Quality experience within a manufacturing, automotive, aerospace or highly regulated environment.
- Been trained or operated in a project management and lean environment.
- A good understanding of lean manufacturing and project management principles.
- A strong approach to take initiative whilst working as a team, with exceptional attention to detail.
- To be a self-motivated individual who works with integrity and accountability.
