Job Description

Corin is seeking a Head of Manufacturing Operations who will create and deliver a world class manufacturing facility in terms of performance in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost; by developing our people and creating a culture of continuous and sustainable improvement by following lean principles. The Head of Manufacturing Operations is responsible for strategy and execution of the following functions: Manufacturing, Engineering, Material Supply and Continuous Improvement. This role forms part of the Global Operations Leadership Team reporting to COO

The Head of Manufacturing Operations is a strategic and tactical role to build a world class manufacturing facility in Cirencester, where we manufacture hip and knee implants for global distribution. We are looking for someone who is a hands-on and proven self-motivated Leader who has been embedded into the manufacturing function to lead with passion, energy, strong continuous improvement, and people management skills

The key responsibilities for the Head of Manufacturing Operations are to

  • Lead all Manufacturing activities for Corin’s manufacturing site in Cirencester.
  • Create and deploy best practice manufacturing vision, strategies, policies, processes and KPIs to aid sustainable, improved business performance.
  • Strategically manage investment and expenses to deliver investor targets for growth and profitability,
  • Lead, develop and implement cost and productivity programs optimizing labour and working capital performance.
  • Lead, coach and empower teams to identify problem solving activities understanding the root causes and entrust them to develop solutions to create sustained results..
  • Implement and deploy lean / continuous improvements principles in all aspects of end-to-end supply chain creating value for our customers.
  • Monitor performance and implement corrective actions as needed, providing detailed reports for current and future performance
  • Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and enhance a team of high-performing professionals who are engaged and empowered to drive a positive culture of operational excellence.


Requirements

The ideal Head of Manufacturing Operations will have / be

  • Educated to degree level or above within one of the following disciplines Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics.
  • Proven experience as a site and/or manufacturing leader, ideally within one of the following industries: Medical Devices, Aerospace, Automotive, Pharmaceutical
  • Proven Leader with demonstrated experience in developing a clear and compelling vision for manufacturing and delivering profitable strategies.
  • Extensive management experience gained in multicultural environments and international organisations.
  • Excellent people management skills with a track record of identifying and developing talent and driving a strong culture of personal ambition and engagement.
  • Ability to analyse multiple areas of the business, recommend and develop comprehensive strategies and initiatives and engage stakeholders in the process to improve the business, communication, and performance across multiple areas.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and rapid decision-making skills.
  • Competence in data analysis and performance metrics
  • Strategic Thinker able to assess options and actions based on trends and conditions in the environment, and the vision and values of the organization.
  • Understand advanced business planning and regulatory issues
  • Ability to diagnose problems and anticipate potential issues and drive accountability for solutions
  • Excellent networking skills with solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of product development policies and procedures
