Job Description
We are looking for an experienced senior level developer to take a leading role within our SpotLight Team. This position will involve technical leadership of front-end development on the SpotLight Suite, our cloud based visual content production platform currently utilised by the world’s biggest automotive brands.
Working within an agile environment to create cutting edge software solutions that meet the expectations of our automotive clients. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, the successful candidate will be an experienced technical problem solver with a focus on quality.
ZeroLight is currently experiencing an exciting period of expansion, having taken on over 60 new employees during 2020/21. We are looking for our next generation of leaders to expand on this growth and take the company forward into a new period of innovation.
From September 2021 we are introducing a hybrid working model which will allow employees to either work from our award-winning studio LiveWorks or from their home office for desk-based activities, and there will be certain activities (like team meetings, project kick-off and one to one meetings) that we’ll ask you to come into the studio for. Our studio will be a creative and collaborative space for in-person communication, and we’ll be setting up all employees with the equipment they need to work effectively from their home office as well.
Requirements
The Role
- Hands on, creating, building, and improving web-based application across the SpotLight Suite.
- Solving technical problems and creating high quality outputs with short turnaround times.
- Translating concepts and requirements into excellent customer experiences.
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team and liaising closely with the Design team to enhance and advance our in-house UI-Kit.
- Mentoring junior members within the team.
- Working closely with the Technical Director and Product Manager to establish sprint and team priorities.
- Reporting back on sprints in retrospectives, using feedback to make improvements to team processes.

Experience
- High level of proficiency with React, TypeScript, CI and build tools.
- Desirable experience using GraphQL and styled-components.
- Able to work with other development teams and a range of disciplines including Designers, Project Managers and our Commercial team.
