Job Description

Creative Team Leader

Location: Office (based in Sheffield), or remote

Annual Salary: 20,000 - 25,000 Pro Rata

Contract: Permanent

Line Manager: Jay Wynn Recruiter: Evie Moss

As an experienced designer, illustrator, animator, videographer you will be looking for your next challenge. Leading a team at Twinkl in the England Twinkl Parents segment. You will guide your team and support the Production Managers and segment manager to meet production KPIs and coach and empower your team to be the best they can be. You will keep up to date on brand guidelines, business updates and be highly skilled in engagement and communication, disseminating and delegating where necessary.

Ongoing projects/how you’ll spend your day:

  • line managing a team of creatives, giving guidance and support.
  • Helping people manage their workloads and meet their deadlines.
  • To hold AAA review meetings with the team.
  • To monitor team targets, output, working schedules and Tamp;T and report back to Segment Manager as necessary.
  • To complete probation, performance management, contract and pay reviews.
  • To support recruitment and induction where necessary.
  • To work with other Team Leaders to establish good practices.
  • To send communication as required to the team, keeping them well-informed of information updates, as directed by the Segment Manager.
  • Communicate the vision of Twinkl.

The team itself is a positive team, with regular catch-ups. It’s really easy to find people who share similar interests and build strong working relationships.

To succeed in the role, you will:

  • Have effective time management skills.
  • Be comfortable pivoting on current projects to new opportunities as they arise and supporting your team when this happens.
  • Show the ability to work under your own initiative and take your own creative direction with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrate a creative and innovative approach to projects.
  • Be able to communicate with colleagues and our external partners effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Have the ability to work collaboratively.

In this role, you will learn:

  • Develop skills in managing a team.
  • How to deliver training.
  • How to set targets and KPIs
  • Coaching team members to achive KPIs

  • The parents creative team

Requirements

We're interested in anyone who meets one, or a combination of the following:

  • Who is comfortable in prioritising, organising and people management.
  • Experience leading a team
  • Has a degree or background within design, videography,animation, illustration etc
