Job Description

Location: UK remote
Annual Salary: 18,000 - 20,000 per annum
Contract: 37.5 hrs per week
Line Manager: Vicky Raynes
Recruiter: Zoi Pisourika

You’ll be responsible for helping to maintain and develop Twinkl’s thriving online community of parents. Your time will be spent working on social media platforms and engaging with these communities to facilitate a culture of celebration and support where parents help other parents by sharing ideas and tips for home learning and parenting. You will also be required to create and record social media content using Twinkl resources to inspire our membership.

Your weekly activity could include:

  • Responding to members of our Facebook page and Business Messenger, being the voice of Twinkl and offering advice and support where needed
  • Creating original social media image and video content using Photoshop or Canva
  • Copywriting for social media feed posts
  • Scheduling content for publishing in our content calendar
  • Developing Twinkl Parents’ Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Pinterest profiles
  • Gathering insights from our community to share with our blog and production teams

The parent’s team is made up of Designers, Illustrators, SEO copywriters, teachers and parents who are all driven to help parents. We are a friendly and fun team who put innovation at the forefront of everything we do.

Requirements

To succeed in the role, you will:

  • Be a fantastic communicator who thrives when working in a close-knit team.
  • Passionate about using social media to create strong and supportive communities.
  • Be able to work under own initiative with minimum supervision but also as part of a team
  • Be able to work collaboratively

In this role, you gain:

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Opportunities to show innovation and work on self-directed social media projects
  • Opportunities to develop graphic design skills for producing social media content
  • Experience working with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok Twitter, Pinterest, Giphy and having the opportunity to create new marketing channels on platforms we haven’t explored yet.

You’ll work with:

You’ll be part of the Parents Team, a fast-growing and dynamic team who focus on developing the parents market within Twinkl.

We're interested in anyone who meets one, or a combination of the following:

  • You may have experience of being a ‘mummy blogger’ or running a child-focused Instagram account.
  • You may have previous experience of running social media channels for a small business.
  • Will to be flexible around working times. Being able to work half your working week during weekends and evenings. Hours can be agreed between you and your line manager to work office hours.
