We are looking to recruit a graduate UX designer into our team. This role will be responsible for defining and designing the User Experience for one of the add-on apps for our flagship product, orgvue. You will be joining a team of in-house UX designers who all collaborate across all products and add-on apps.
You will have a broad understand of any technical limitations, as well as be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews, and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
Collaborating alongside Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers, you will be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, and to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user testing. You will have an understanding of the difference between UI and UX design and have a creative yet organised approach to tackling problems and creating solutions. You will preferably have previous history of working with design systems and an in-depth knowledge of forms.

Requirements
- Gathering and evaluating user requirements via user interviews, in collaboration with Product Owners, Product Managers and Engineers.
- Facilitating Design Sprints to generate ideas and engage with scrum teams.
- Collaborating closely with Engineers and Designers to solve problems and align on solutions.
- Making strategic and user-experience decisions relating to the core product and accompanying apps, identifying problems, and devising elegant solutions.
- Translating ideas into wireframes, customer journeys and task flows.
- Creating wireframes, prototypes, style guides and user flows to effectively communicate interaction ideas, optimised for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- Taking a user-centred design approach to rapidly test and validate designs with users.
- Interaction amp; animation design.
- Presenting user testing findings to key stakeholders.
- Iterating designs based on user and product team feedback.
- Ensuring all UI designs are consistent and up to date across all projects.
- Communicating regularly with users and internal stakeholders.
- Vocalising ideas and asking questions, taking risks, and championing new ideas.
- Maintaining the products design system via Sketch libraries and associated documentation.

Knowledge
- An understanding of SaaS
- Preferably a background in data driven design.
- Lean UX experience, with knowledge of UX research, persona analysis, feature brainstorming, etc.
- A solid grasp of user-centred design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns.
- A knowledge of standard UX software such as Sketch, Axure and InVision
- Know when to use the right tool for the job from requirements gathering to wireframes, prototyping and high-fidelity designs.
- An understanding of the UX industry’s latest trends and technologies.
- Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
- An understanding of front-end technologies, any limitations and impact on design.
- A basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and React are a plus.
- A degree in user experience, human-computer interaction, design, visual communication, or a related subject.
- Pixel-perfect attention to detail and a drive for consistency in design.
- Ability to think creatively, with strong problem-solving skills, and a portfolio of work to back this up.
- Ability to create a consistent visual language that is beautiful, recognizable, and usable across multiple formats.
- Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
- Passionate about all things UX, resolving user pain points through great design, and an interest in all areas of design and innovation.
- Highly collaborative and keen to share knowledge of the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
