KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Content Strategist, you’ll:
- develop content plans and strategies based on user needs
- write clear, usable, and accessible content in plain English
- review content to make sure it’s accurate, relevant, accessible, and written in line with GOV style
- ensure consistency of messaging and terminology across the system
- develop clear guidance pages that assist users to deliver their required outcomes
- work with the UX designers and user researcher to evaluate content effectiveness, in whatever context it was consumed (any device, platform or channel)
- understand how content tagging, design patterns and
- assess and document needs for internal content management tools, feeding them into product teams and roadmap planning
- help build knowledge on GDS content strategy
WHO YOU ARE:
We’re interested in people who:
- experience of developing and implementing content strategies for large scale operations, ideally including experience of developing structured content, channel agnostic and/or personalised content
- demonstrable knowledge of how to develop strategies and processes around taxonomies and tagging, and production across entire content lifecycles
- demonstratable experience of developing content
- experience working in an agile environment with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads and priorities
- skills advocating for a user-centered approach with good content practices
