Job Description

Corin, a medical device business with innovative robotically assisted platforms for joint replacement surgery is going through a period of transition and development. As a result of this, we are looking to build our team of data analysts and is seeking a Data Analyst to support our Digital Transformation across all business functions with insights gained from analysing company data and delivery of data models and tools. The ideal Data Analyst at Corin will have a qualification in one of the following areas as well as time served experience within a data team within an organisation. EG) computer science, data science or analytics, engineering or physics, mathematics or statistics and / or operational research

The key responsibilities of a Data Analyst are to:

Establish and lead data analysis within supply chain and the wider Corin community:

  • Work with the management team and key stakeholders throughout Corin to identify opportunities for leverage company data to drive value creation and effective decision making.
  • Make a difference to our business, our customers, and our patients, by solving real life problems and delivering data insights to improve health outcomes.

Deliver expert solutions by working alongside our IT Team, Data Engineers and Architects:

  • Build and maintain reference datasets and pipelines
  • Mine and analyse data from company databases.
  • Manage custom data models, time-series forecasting and predictive algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Generate analytical insights and develop solutions to drive optimization and improvement of business strategies, commercial excellence, operational efficiency, and digital product development (i.e Clinical Insights / Digital Health solutions).
  • Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in line with Corin’s ISO13485 QMS amp; Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) FDA21 CFR Part 820
  • Ensure that process amp; timeline requirements for Corrective amp; Preventive Actions (CAPA) are met in accordance with Corin’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and in support of Corin’s Global Objectives for CAPA.

Requirements

The ideal Data Analyst will have/ be:

  • A degree or masters in computer science, data science or analytics, engineering or physics, mathematics or statistics and / or operational research
  • The ability to adapt at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and building and implementing models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action.
  • Some experience in data-based insights using data mining, data tools and data analysis, as well as using and creating algorithms and developing and running simulations (multi-variate analysis (MVA), GLM/regression, clustering, random forest, boosting, trees, text mining, social network analysis, neural networks, etc.).
  • Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams and have a genuine passion for discovering solutions hidden in data sets. Have a strong drive, be a self-starter and be ready to work pragmatically towards business deliverables.
  • Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, python, SQL, etc., to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • Experience working with and creating data architectures ideally in MS SQL server. Experience of MS Azure platform tools such as datafactory, databricks, synapse analytics would be beneficial.
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: power BI, dundas BI, tableau, etc
  • Clear experience in building and managing roadmaps, balancing sprint vs. ad/hoc effort. Demonstrated knowledge of the data lifecycle, including experience with data modelling and data quality
  • The ability to share solutions and ideas with a broad scope of stakeholders across business functions and lead by influence
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
  • Preferably, time served experience, with a clinical, healthcare, orthopaedic or pharmaceutical business ideally, manipulating their data sets and building statistical models.
