What you’ll be doing:

As a Delivery Principal you’ll be joining the Intelligence Layer (IL) team at Faculty. This team works with organisations to solve some of our customers' hardest problems through the use of our Intelligence Layer technology. As part of the IL leadership, you will have high levels of accountability for successfully growing our product offering. This means you’ll be at the forefront of the practical application of AI and a core part of growing our business, with existing accounts and supporting entry into new sectors.

This role does not require deep technical knowledge. Our Product and Ramp;D teams will own the technical solution - you do not have to. But it does require enough understanding of data science techniques and their application in order to credibly communicate their function and value to the customer, and to oversee their delivery. More generally, you will need to be a natural problem solver and enjoy working closely with technical teams.

Strategy

  • Understand and contribute to Faculty’s Intelligence Layer (IL) product and underlying technology - including the vision, Product amp; Ramp;D strategy, and market positioning by representing the voice of the customer;

Delivery

  • Lead the delivery of rapid ‘Proofs of Value’ (PoVs) for IL with customers at the start of the customer journey to demonstrate how our technology can add material $ value to them by solving business problems. In particular, (a) manage senior customer / stakeholder relationships during delivery of PoVs and (b) oversee multi-disciplinary delivery teams, driving a clear focus on quantification of $ benefits;
  • For PoVs that convert to licence agreements, oversee the IL deployment and testing prior to steady state, so that the account is set up for future success including expansion to other use cases;

Team Leadership and Management

  • Recruit and develop an effective delivery team for IL, comprising of a Manager, Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist;
  • Work effectively with the wider IL team, in particular with Business Development and Customer Success teams to manage hand-offs across the customer journey.
  • Contribute to the development of Faculty, by being an active part of the community, codifying and sharing best practices, and role modelling our values. In particular, develop the first version of a scalable Playbook for IL PoVs based on a combination of best practise and experience at Faculty;
  • Support the development of individuals in Faculty’s IL delivery team - providing coaching on areas for improvement and opportunities to develop as to maximise their potential.

Customer relationships

  • Build trusted relationships. You are comfortable working with senior stakeholders, building trust through delivery excellence and an increasing mastery of how AI can be put to work to solve our customers’ hardest problems.
  • Communicate clearly and credibly, in written and verbal form, an array of complex technical concepts, clearly linking Faculty’s technical solutions to the organisational value they provide.

Who we are looking for:

  • Experience of successful programme or technology delivery with proven ability to grow initial customer relationships into larger accounts.
  • You are likely from a top-tier technology, consulting or data background.
  • Customer communication: Be highly credible in dealing with senior stakeholders, with exceptional verbal communication skills, and the ability to boil down complicated concepts to their essence.
