Installation Operative

Job Description
We are currently looking for a skilled Installation Operative with knowledge and experience of steel and outdoor signing erection to form part of our Construction Team. You'll work as part of a team assisting with erecting steel structures and digital advertising screens (D48 screens/Large Format panels).
This role will require travelling to sites nationwide so lodging and reasonable overnight expenses will be provided along with the use of a company vehicle. Duties will include working in a small team installing steel structures and digital advertising screens. Installation work will include erection of steel uprights to form part of the structure, attaching the screen framing and digital tiles. These will be mainly prebuilt steel structures and delivered to site in sections. There will be two types of structures to erect, either free standing or cantilevered off the gable walls of properties.
The position will also require working closely with other team members such as the Groundworkers, installing the substructures. This will create an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to develop their skills with external training courses provided for all aspects of the role.
Requirements
Who are you?
- You'll be confident in managing your own workload and enjoy being part of a team.
- Able to ensure a safe site is created and maintained in accordance with the relevant Construction Phase Plan and accompanying RAMS.
- You'll work within the framework of CCUK Hamp;S Policy and accompanying legislation and codes of practice.
- Able to follow the site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
- Maintain and safeguard our tools and equipment on site and ensure that they are stored in a lockable unit at the end of the shift.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to.
- Own a full driving licence.
- Hold construction experience relating to steel erection and ideally have a good understanding of engineering and fabrication techniques.
- Experience and qualifications in lifting operations would be advantageous.
- Hold a CSCS card.
- Be competent and experienced with working at height including use of step ladders, tower scaffolding and MEMPs Hold an IPAF card.
- Experience in manual handling and machinery use.
- Able to problem solve on issues related to construction and show initiative when making decisions.
