Founded in 2018, we are now 80 people across four sites: UK, Australia, Canada and Spain, with more to come. Requirements
Your day-to-day with us as a Senior Ruby Developer!
- Writing fully tested code, with clean and scalable solutions
- Owning features from start to finish; design, build, test and release to production
- Prototyping ideas to quickly assess viability
- Communicating progress or any issues or roadblocks back to the team Iterating based on feedback
- Proactively fixing errors and consistently improving the code base
- Able to understand how to create solutions that keep possibilities for future iteration and improvement open
- Able to understand the commercial aspects of the platform and incorporate that understanding into the way the code amp; solutions are implemented
- Good design using best practices
- Auto-deploy to production on merging, many times a day
Our dream candidate:
- Experience with our wider tech stack, which includes: Ruby, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Heroku, AWS amp; GCP, Kafka
- You are passionate about Ruby as a technology vertical and follow the latest trends and developments
- You're strong on back-end with some exposure to full-stack
- An appetite for delivering value and are collaborative in nature
- Start-up / scale-up experience is preferred - able to adapt and pivot in evolving environments
- Problem solver and big picture thinker, able to envision the what-ifs and trade-offs
