It’s exciting times at MMT Digital and we’re looking for experienced Technical Trainers to support the development and growth of our Technical Training hub. You’ll be working with some of our large enterprise clients to support the development of their people. You’ll also be training in-house engineers for specific client technical environments. Bringing your skills and experience in the design, delivery and assessment of IT training, you’ll be supported by the technical teams at MMT Digital to develop a variety of technical learning content.
As Technical Trainer, you’ll be using your:
- IT/ Software Development background to communicate function, process and best practices across a variety of technical subjects including: AWS, Azure DevOps, Docker, Cloud Formation, DataDog, Terraform, Python, API's amp; Integrations, Kubernetes etc.
- Project Management skills planning, administrating and assessing each training course.
- Office software skills - desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, Teams
- Pastoral Care experience ensuring our cohort of learners are supported throughout their learning journey.
- Technical course delivery skills guiding up to 8 people per course through technical learning content.
Successful candidates will be comfortable creating and managing:
- Online tests
- Assessment processes
- Knowledge bases / online curricula
- Virtual Labs
Working as part of the Technical Training team, you’ll be:
- Assisting with a wide range of course delivery activities including:
- Course design
- Course module content creation
- Specification of teaching and learning outcomes
- Classroom and other forms of teaching and learning activities
- Preparing, developing, and maintaining up to date course materials
- Formal assessment and reporting
- Carrying out pre-course trainee skills assessments
- Assessing course attendees across multiple criteria (Attendance, Behaviours, Technical attainment, Project work, Level of engagement)
- Deliver content in a range of formats (Project work, Quizzes, Practical challenges, Self-study sessions)
In order to flourish in this role you’ll bring:
- Proven IT training experience from either a commercial or academic background.
- Strong Technical understanding of current relevant technologies (ideally some knowledge of some or all of: AWS, Azure DevOps, Cloud Formation, Docker, DataDog, Terraform, Python or API's amp; Integrations)
- An engaging student facing manner
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Great organisational skills
- Proven teaching and assessment skills
- Passion for learning and knowledge sharing
- An interested and creative approach to training
