Job Description
Packfleet is a delivery company in London. We pride ourselves on being better than the large couriers, with a genuine care for our customers, their parcels, and our drivers.
We're looking for a new delivery driver to help us deliver packages to people across London in our electric vans. We pay a competitive hourly rate (13.50/hour guaranteed).
You'd be doing a mixture of collections from businesses and deliveries to recipients and other businesses. We can be flexible around what works for you in terms of days worked/number of hours, with base hours ranging from 20-40 hours a week. We guarantee these base hours, so if you end up working less we'll still pay them.
A typical day:
- Collect packages from our Bermondsey depot in the morning
- Get a route to follow on your phone (iPhone provided each day) with Google Maps or Waze directions
- Deliver each parcel by scanning it with the phone and ensuring it's safely given to the recipient
- Pick up any collections along your route and scan those packages into your vehicle
- Drop off any collected packages back with us when finished
You don't need to have experience of multi-drop deliveries before but it would be beneficial. This is a great job for someone looking for flexible work and who enjoys driving!
Requirements
- Experience (or eagerness to learn!) to drive a short wheelbase van
- Initiative to help you deliver a great service to all our customers
- Confident in using an iPhone to navigate across London
- To be able to get to and from Bermondsey to start and finish
- Valid UK driving licence (held for 2 years min)
- 25 years and above (for insurance purposes!)
