Job Description

28,000 - 33,000 p/a - hybrid working environment with 2 days in our central London office

About Wonderbly

Wonderbly is the world’s leading personalised publishing company, and Children’s Publisher of the year 2021. We conceive, design, promote, sell, and make unique books for wonderful customers all over the world.

Our mission is to make people feel extraordinarily special, and bring them closer to the people they love, through the power of personalised stories. So far we’ve shipped over 6.5 million books to over 150 countries. We’ve done this in just eight years, and we’re just getting started.

Department and role overview

The Operations department powers the physical aspects of the Wonderbly business. We manage manufacturing, distribution and stock across 10+ different factory locations around the globe - so lots of business-critical processes and relationships to build and maintain.

We need a Buying and Supply Chain Executive to support us with the foundations of the department: stock management, placing POs, managing critical paths and B2B shipping. The right person will also have the chance to assist in launching amazing new products.

If you like the cut and thrust of a busy supply chain and procurement department, you’re a can-do / solutions person, and can maintain a critical path to the highest of standards - then we’re looking for YOU!

A bit about what you’ll be doing:

Stock Management / Merchandising

  • Creating reports to monitor stock levels
  • Aiding decision making by taking an active role in analysing sales, actioning stock moves and following through on deliveries.
  • Monitoring stock levels across printhouse locations to ensure there’s enough stock to satisfy customer demand
  • Managing orders of existing SKUs - raising POs and managing the order process from creation to delivery
  • Liaising with shipping agents on quotations and booking shipments.
  • Preparing shipping documentation
  • Managing and owning the B2B shipping critical path
  • Supplier performance management

Supply Chain / Buying

  • Tendering buys with existing suppliers and presenting options for sign off
  • Assisting the Buying/Ops manager with sourcing and costings for new product development projects
  • SKU set up on both internal systems and with printhouses to aid smooth launches on NPD projects
  • Managing orders from Initial PO through to delivery.
  • Managing and owning the Production critical path.

Requirements

A bit about you

You should apply if you are:

  • Highly tenacious and logical
  • Comfortable and articulate with data (intermediate / strong Excel/GSheets skills)
  • Creative and analytical
  • Experienced working in a fast paced environment
  • Great at problem solving - you know how amp; when to ask the right questions and recommend solutions
  • A capable communicator, who works well in a collaborative environment
  • Well organised and flexible
  • Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders:
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent

If you have experience in retail buying/merchandising or supply chain, that would be a bonus. B2B shipping experience would also be beneficial - but NOT essential.
