Job Description

The group’s portfolio includes a number of exciting and cutting-edge brands which develop, manufacture and globally market a variety of products and services. This role is for the Particle Works brand, which focusses on the development and manufacture of automated systems for the synthesis of nanoparticles for applications such as drug delivery and gene therapy.
Blacktrace manufactures a wide range of scientific products. We are now looking for an experienced, motivated and organised Laboratory Assistant to join our Science and Applications Team to help with a current exciting project on a temporary basis.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the execution of testing protocols on Beta Hardware
- Processing data in Excel
- Generating Test reports
- Following SOPs / Test protocols
- Preparation of reagent solutions.
- Assisting with day-to-day laboratory activities.
- Maintaining Health and Safety Documentation such as COSHH and Risk Assessments
- Ensuring good health and safety practices in the laboratories
- Maintaining a clean, compliant amp; organised working environment
- Working in accordance with company, laboratory, and general manufacturing Health amp; Safety requirements
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task
- Experience in practical laboratory work is essential, ideally in a chemistry lab
- A strong awareness of laboratory health and safety processes
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- A proactive attitude
- An ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential.
- Excellent attention to details.
- Proven ability to understand, follow and convey technical instructions
- Competent in basic laboratory skills and familiar with standard laboratory amp; cleanroom practices
- Team oriented but self-motivated and able to focus on individual tasks
- Able to react and adapt in a dynamic amp; fast paced working environment as required
Requirements
