Who are PerchPeek?

Have you ever relocated before? Did you manage to do it worry and stress free (no eye rolling or swearing!)? Or if you haven’t ever relocated, how do you feel about the prospect of figuring it all out on your own? Finding a new home, registering locally, sorting out shipping your stuff, organising utilities, setting up new bank accounts, new mobile sims, getting your pet there safely etc The list of things to think about goes on and on. No matter where in the world you go, relocating is a crappy process that’s always time intensive and stressful. PerchPeek was conceived to change that.

PerchPeek’s mission is to guide people through every stage of their relocation. Our product is a delightful combination of content, tech, customer success amp; partnerships which work together to make moving simpler, faster, more secure and even enjoyable.

We’re at the forefront of changes to the workplace as knowledge workers have greater freedom to relocate than ever before. Over the past 18 months we’ve grown incredibly quickly, launching in 20+ countries, grown from 6 to 100+ people and raised both our Seed and Series A rounds from top US and European VC funds - Albion VC, Episode 1 and Stage 2 Capital. (Normal startup protocol would dictate that we put a rocket emoji in at this point, but we promised minimal cliches so... ).

About the People Team and this role!

We’re super excited to be hiring a Senior People + Culture Partner to help us achieve our external mission and as the first member of our People amp; Culture team they'll help to drive our internal mission, to attract, hire and retain truly incredible Perchies.

We’re seeking a passionate, innovative and proactive People person, who’s excited to help us build some truly amazing and globally consistent People practices. Our goal is to support each and every one of our perchies across the globe (we’re fully remote - 100 Perchies spread across 20 countries!) to be as happy, productive and high performing as possible.

As the first member of our People amp; Culture team, you’ll get to work with our partners from Unleashed, alongside your manager, the Head of Operations, Hellie, to design and embed ‘better than best practice’ initiatives (and scale them as we grow!), own our touchpoints to our employee’s engagement so that we can identify, prioritise and fix any challenges and give day to day support to our managers and individuals alike. Oh, as well as continuously developing amp; nurturing our incredible culture, that’s values driven and inclusive from the outset.

You’ll be responsible for

  • Designing, building, implementing and iterating new people practices across the full People Experience spectrum (hand in hand with our partners from Unleashed) - this is really the foundation! Building practices that will support everyone to be happy and engaged - this will be one of your main priorities over the first 6 months!
  • Partnering and working with our leaders to not only embed new people practices but also to gain feedback and iterate our approach. It’s important that we’re always gathering feedback to make things better!
  • We really want to ensure that there’s consistency in the experience that each Perchy receives, no matter what role, team or country they’re based in. You’ll be responsible for making this happen by owning and running our People initiatives.
  • Keeping your finger on the pulse of the team. You’ll own the tracking and analysis of our employee engagement - both qualitative and quantitative, so that we can identify, prioritise, fix and even preempt challenges.
  • Being the trustworthy, go-to person to support the team with whatever ad hoc situations arise - from ER issues, supporting managers where needed, creating policies for our handbook or being a sounding board to the team, you’ll get the opportunity to adapt and get stuck into lots of different situations.
