Job Description

Technology from SAGE holds the spirit of a start-up, with passionate and dedicated teams that are fast-moving and agile. You will be an essential part of the Technology from SAGE leadership team, reporting directly into the Managing Director to run the brand marketing function, also working closely with the Head of Product Marketing. You will work across two separate businesses (Talis and Lean Library), with international colleagues, identifying where and where not to synergize.

Could you be our new Head of Brand Marketing? Are you?

  • An imaginative and creative senior brand marketer, with an aptitude for brand storytelling.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment, able to easily adapt and prioritise.
  • Experienced in running events and campaign schedules, with excellent organisation skills.
  • Execution-oriented with a hands-on leadership approach to support the marketing team in delivering content on time and to a high standard.
  • A natural leader, ideally with experience in managing junior direct reports.
  • Knowledgeable about the higher education or library market, preferably with SaaS experience.

Your new role:

  • You will be responsible for devising and implementing a brand strategy for the Technology from SAGE portfolio, supported by a team of two brand marketing executives, including:
  • Owning and refining brand messaging for Technology from SAGE, Talis, and Lean Library as we enhance or expand our solutions.
  • Maintaining external-facing brand messaging on the Technology from SAGE, Talis and Lean Library websites and collateral.
  • Managing the conference amp; events schedule, including key library conferences, webinars, and hosting our annual ‘Insights’ event.
  • Planning and recording monthly episodes for our ‘Teach, Learn, Collaborate, Repeat’ podcast, liaising with the wider team on speaker and topic ideas.
  • Developing an execution plan for thought leadership and content marketing initiatives, including writing marketing and academic copy for white paper input.
  • Leading the strategy for the social content calendar, monitoring social media accounts, approving posts, and directing the team on messaging.
  • Managing and supporting the two brand marketing executives, ensuring they deliver to targets on time and within budget, and exemplify first-class marketing practices.
  • Establishing clear ROI and KPI criteria and identify opportunities for synergy across the businesses and processes.
