Job Purpose:

Business growth has led to various systems and databases across the business with multiple users, across various departments (including Operations and Finance). We require a Business Owner of data integrity and ensuring data is used effectively and efficiently across the business. This role would need to work independently as well as influencing team members across various functions and levels across the business.

Responsible for managing and providing relevant data and business intelligence to allow the business to manage billing, stock, device SIMS and key customer KPIs (enrolments, activations, deactivations, connections).

This role is ideally suited to someone with the ability to balance the technical demands of this role with the need for strong stakeholder engagement and can work on their own initiative as well as part of the team. As this is the key data role in the business we will be looking at this role to have the expertise to extract meaningful and relevant data and assist in MI and trend analysis.

Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Define MI reporting landscape across the business and data MI improvements

• Manage the gathering intelligence of data sources across the business and its purpose and function.
• Document and process map data sources and define key terminology used across the business.
• Extract and maintain relevant data sets across the business to enable Operations and Finance to perform business reporting, billing, and other relevant business processes.

Operational finance reporting

• Extract amp; maintain billing data to allow billing to commence on a regular basis. Managing the data collection amp; MI reporting for device management, stock management and device activations/ desctivations.

• Other relevant operational data as required by the business.

• Provide datasets for KPI reporting and Monthly stock amp; inventory reporting

• Collate bank transactions datasets to allow bank analysis for receipts and payments.

• Extraction of data from finance systems for transactions and balances to assist financial reporting and analysis.

• Datasets relevant to key suppliers (Devices, Stock, SIMS etc).

Other areas

• Business Partner to Finance amp; Operational Management for MI and database reporting.
• Business Partner to Account Management for customer MI reporting.
• Process documentation for key database reports.
• Assisting in database process improvements across the business.
• Ad hoc business projects as defined by Finance amp; Operational Senior Management and the Executive board team.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills amp; Experience

Essential

• SQL/MySQL amp; database querying (essential for this role)
• Experience of AWS S3, Athena and QuickSight, or equivalent presentation tool
• Experience in Supply Chain management in a service environment, preferred
• Advanced Microsoft suite skills, with particular focus on Office365 tools
• Experience in Python would be an advantage but not essential
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• English language skills required
• Telematics, Telecommunications, Retail or manufacturing industry experience is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree /College- Business Admin diploma
