Location: Cardiff.
Contract: Full-time, permanent.
Salary: Circa 70,000, dependent on experience.

We are looking for an experienced Head of Logistics amp; Supply Chain, to head up our Warehousing and Supply Chain functions, optimising stock holding and ensuring best value is leveraged from the supply chain.
The Head of Logistics amp; Supply Chain drives excellent customer service and optimal distribution cost through the leadership of the logistics department including outbound UK distribution, inbound logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management.
You will manage and develop the logistics team, optimise the function, and maintain effective supplier and customer relationships both internally and externally.
Key responsibilities:
- Continually analyse all inbound and outbound logistics, with a view to improving performance.
- Continually optimise all distribution processes to deliver excellence for our customers whilst ensuring costs are minimised.
- Identify, develop, evaluate, and implement new ways of working to improve the operational cost/service of the business.
- Provide analysis, input and recommendations on supply chain processes, costs, performance, and service metrics.
- Oversee the management and operation of all warehouse activities.
- To communicate with, manage and develop relationships with key supply chain service vendors.
- Oversee the end-to-end supply chain from procurement, planning and forecasting to warehouse and logistics.
- Ensure best value is leveraged from the supply chain.
- Implementation and development of the supply chain and operation in country with a strong link to group.
- Ensure daily operational targets in relation to supplier performance and product availability are delivered in line with expectations.
- Ensuring customer service is a KPI.
- Monitoring and reporting on stock days.
Requirements
Experience and skills:
- Strong multi-site logistics and end-to-end supply chain management in fast-paced distribution business.
- Strong understanding of warehousing and distribution, within multi-site operations.
- Commercially minded.
- Project management experience; preferably premises relocation.
- Able to build effective working relationships in a global structure together with country MD and central functions in HQ.
- Self-starter who is resilient and can resolve problems.
- Previous experience of managing Suppliers, Planning, Forecasting, Warehouse and Logistics.
- Highly organised with good time management and people management skills.
- Works with little supervision and highly productive.
