Job Description
We’re looking for a talented UX/UI Designer to work with our product and development teams to create visually impactful, user-friendly and engaging interfaces for our key software, VideoScribe; someone who can design the best quality user experiences that represent the company vision. If you’re an experienced individual with a passion for all things UI and visual design, you could be just the person we need to join our team.
This is a mid-senior level position for someone who can start making a difference to our product from the get-go. It’s an opportunity to disrupt the video creation space by creating best-in-class designs for software that is used by thousands of customers daily across the globe, contributing to the design strategy and execution and making a significant impact on our customers.
What you'll do
- with sole responsibility for design, you’ll be leading, inventing and designing compelling and seamless customer experiences across desktop and mobile platforms for VideoScribe
- you’ll lead the translation of customer insights into designed experiences to form a compelling story
- working within an existing product framework, you’ll deliver the highest quality designs, drawing on your passion for great customer experience, and using best practice to ensure consistency across our product platforms
- you’ll work with Agile project teams and key stakeholders in sprints, retrospectives and reviews, to develop user-centred solutions within project timeframes
- you’ll set the standard for design solutions (including accessibility and GDPR considerations)
- you’ll have a genuine impact on our customers, and will be well positioned to gain recognition for you and your work
Requirements
About you
- you have a track record of working on consumer-facing products that deliver value to the business as well as the people using them every day
- you’re an organised self-starter, always on the lookout for ways to improve the customer experience
- you’ll be used to collaborating with a team of diverse talent in an Agile environment, and build strong relationships that allow you to present and communicate your ideas to all areas of the business
- you understand the value of measuring and optimising designs, and the importance of user testing and prototyping, acting quickly to interpret requirements to enable iterative user testing
- enjoying working in a fast-paced environment, you’re proactive in working out what needs to be done and getting on with the job at hand
- you understand design frameworks and the technical implications of your designs, always looking to improve and make a positive impact on the business and our users through working with the development team to execute ideas
- you’ll be confident in presenting work to stakeholders and sharing with collaborators, with a deep understanding of information architecture, usability, UI and UX
We’d love to find someone that has experience in all the above, but if you don’t have everything we are looking for, it could be a role the right person can grow into, so we’d still love to hear from you.
This is a full-time, permanent role. You can be based anywhere, so can choose 100% remote working (aligning closely with GMT 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday), or hybrid in our office in Bristol, UK.
