Accounts Assistant

Hours per week: 37.5 per week, will consider part-time to suit the right candidate

Salary: based on experience + benefits

Contract Status: Permanent

Due to our ongoing ambitious growth plans, we are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant, who can support our Finance team on a part time or full-time basis.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will take responsibility for predominantly Purchase Ledger, but inclusive of Sales Ledger.

PURCHASE LEDGER

  • Processing invoices through paperless system (Iris / Therefore)
  • Small amount of manual invoice posting
  • Chase up invoice approvals
  • Resolve invoice queries
  • Match POs to invoices
  • Supplier Statement reconciliations
  • Prepare payment lists
  • Ensure ledgers are maintained and tidy
  • Assistance with month end cut off in a timely manner

SALES LEDGER

  • Despatch orders on Sage 200 to generate invoice
  • Resolve invoice queries
  • Send Monthly statements

OTHER DUTIES

  • Petty Cash Reconciliation
  • Assist with US subsidiary accounts
  • Ad hoc admin duties as and when required.
  • Liaise with auditors to provide copy documentation
