Requirements

Team information:

You will be joining one of our Safety and Assurance teams within System Integration, supporting our clients to assure the safety of their systems and products. This will involve working on a range of cutting-edge projects, spanning from technology road mapping, concept development, hardware and software design, certification, regulatory assurance, safety case development, trials planning and delivery, autonomy, and integration of next generation systems. All of this enables our clients to comply with regulation and to protect lives through enhancing safety across industries including rail, aerospace, surface ships and submarines as well as future transport systems incorporating autonomy and AI.

As part of the wider Systems Integration area, you will pull expertise from across the company and get a taste of what goes on in different areas of the business. Our graduates will gain exposure and experience in the huge variety of our work, and the chance to explore where their own skills and interests lie, whether that be a leadership or technical path.

  • You will focus on actions to reduce climate change; supporting rapid and far-reaching transformations in the delivery of energy, security, industry, and transport.
  • For projects in our rail sector you will help develop the Safety Case reports that are required to support critical national rail infrastructure projects. This will include attending Hazard Identification meetings, developing Hazard Records and drawing evidence together to support the documented Safety Case Report.
  • You will support the development of safety assessment for both Rotary and Fixed wing aircraft, either in service or under development
  • You will provide similar support for land vehicles ranging from armoured vehicles, troop transports, bridge laying equipment and other uniquely bespoke equipment as required by our interesting spread of clients.
  • You could work on maritime projects, including new ships in the design phase as well as submarines in all stages of their life cycle.
  • Although primarily focused on safety we also have projects running that cover legislative and regulatory compliance, aviation facility design, risk and quality management across all three domains Air, Sea and Land with aspirations to extend into the space domain.

Working within a consultancy environment offers the chance to experience a wide variety of projects and you'll be given the opportunity to bid for, win, work on, and manage projects, as well as work with and manage people and clients, expanding your technical and consultancy skills.
