Life as a Senior Biz Ops Manager at Onto:

Onto is looking for a Senior Biz Ops Manager to join the team and drive greater effectiveness and efficiency across all functions. We are scaling rapidly and need to ensure that our processes are fit for purpose, fit for scale and can evolve rapidly to capture economies of scale.

You will work closely with the COO and across functions to drive overall business process improvement and operational excellence. You will identify both risks and opportunities to deliver improvements to our operational and financial performance as well as to our customer experience. This is a critical role that calls for a combination of technical, analytical and commercial skills with a huge bias towards action and process optimisation.

This will be a hands-on role that requires you to get into the detail while also keeping the big picture well within sight. You will report to the COO, however, this role will be an individual contributor role to begin with. You will be expected to leverage teams across the business, including the Data Analytics team, to ensure that all of our actions are grounded in sound data and robust analysis.

Requirements

  • You have exceptional analytical and problem solving skills and are a whiz at spreadsheets (both of the Google and the Excel variety). Good familiarity with SQL is a must.
  • You can engage and do the detail as well as manage and direct the execution of the analysis that you require.
  • You love a good process, and get a kick out of finding simple elegant and innovative solutions to cut through overly manual or unnecessarily complicated workflows.
  • You have deep experience in building new processes, ideally in an operational capacity
  • You have the gravitas and communication skills necessary to work with and influence a variety of team leads and peers.
  • You are comfortable working in an ambiguous environment where the right solution doesn’t yet exist and are excited to be writing the playbook for Onto’s operations.
  • Business fluency in English as well as other language skills are an advantage as we are growing internationally
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in high growth scale-ups, consulting or a similar sector is mandatory.
