We’re seeking a senior CRO manager to contribute to our mission to develop better medicines, faster, to people around the world. The Senior CRO Manager is accountable for managing and driving the performance of Exscientia’s strategic CRO partners. They will support the Associate Director of CRO management and ensure that business processes and standards are established and maintained whilst working with CROs. An expert in issue resolution, the senior CRO manager will be accountable for ensuring effective delivery by our CRO partners, with a continuous improvement approach. The scope of work outsourced is from project inception to clinical trials. You will provide tools, templates and advice to ensure that our partnerships with key strategic CROs are operationally efficient and effective to maximise delivery to the Exscientia portfolio.
As the Senior CRO Manager you will be responsible for:
- Act as the key link between Exscientia scientists and global CROs to ensure delivery of outsourced work in accordance with requirements and contractual obligations.
- Lead continuous improvement activities, applying problem solving skills to identify workflow efficiencies and implement technology solutions to enhance processes. Working with internal stakeholders to ensure learning is captured and incorporated into processes and practices.
- Support CRO governance to ensure these dovetail effectively with Exscientia drug project portfolio management.
- Measure delivery metrics by CRO partners and and communicate key internal stakeholders
- Act as point of contact/outsourcing expert for Exscientia
Requirements
- Experience of drug discovery gained from working in either a pharmaceutical company, biotech or in a CRO
- Undergraduate science degree
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Experienced at issue resolution, problem solving and simplification of processes
- Strong communication skills
