Summary: RPAS Business Consultant is responsible to participate in functional and process facets of Oracle RPAS software implementations by applying retail planning knowledge and Oracle RPAS software functionality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regularly assist in the definition of project objectives, scope, organization, timelines, and overall approach
- Regularly consider and define implementation and integration alternatives
- Regularly assist the client Business Process Team Leader to develop the strategy and plan the work required by the Business Process Team to support the implementation
- Continually document functional requirements and support the design process for the client
- Constantly act as a contact for the planning process advice and provide coaching to the client business process team users
- Collaborate with the OLR RPAS implementation team on planning implementation design, build and test
- Frequently define the system configuration requirements, identify gaps and recommend system configuration and/or process changes to optimally satisfy business requirements using the Oracle RPAS application.
- Escalate project issues that cannot be resolved within his/her sphere of influence and/or authority to the Senior BC or Project Manager as needed
- Intermittently perform go-live assessments to determine the readiness of the system as well as client and support teams
- Continually maintain an in-depth understanding of retail planning, merchandising, and merchandise optimization
- Assist with the documentation of ‘As Is’ business processes and the development of ‘To Be’ business
- Schedule and participate in workshop sessions for clients to address the business process requirements with Oracle RPAS
- Ensure follow-up and resolve issues arising from workshop sessions and/or related to business processes and system functionality intermittently
- Intermittently drive test plan definition, creation, and execution
- Facilitate the logging, reporting, and resolution of application issues intermittently
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Understanding of Oracle RPAS solution functional concepts, integration points, and functional application knowledge
- Demonstrable record in successful large-scale package software implementation
- Demonstrable experience in the definition of business process definition and improvement
- Working knowledge of the practices, procedures, and principles of project management
- Ability to identify and proactively solve problems for Oracle Retail clients
- Strong client negotiation and demonstrated consulting skills
- Understands and demonstrates financial responsibility as related to the overall project budget and timelines
- Capable of driving process improvement
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence
- Ability to work with clients to build a sense of shared ownership and minimizes potential resistance

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related experience
- Previous consulting or participation in large-scale integration projects
- Experience in the Retail IT industry
- Oracle RPAS-related experience
- Direct retail operations experience preferably across multiple retail sectors
