Job Description

Napier is a new breed of financial crime compliance technology specialist. Our AI-enhanced platform Napier Continuum transforms compliance from legal obligation to competitive edge.

Due to our ongoing growth internationally, we are looking to hire a QA Engineer to work with our Quality Assurance Team to help to help us build and evolve our test team and test strategy across an exciting range of projects.

Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance, you, QA Engineer, will be learning the Napier product and supporting the technical team to increase the API automation coverage as well as being vigilant for any threats to quality.

Your day to day - QA Engineer

  • Study the product and understand how it can be tested
  • Identify product risks and testing activities, write code to automate at the API level when needed, build tools to aid testing, write test session reports
  • Prepare and manage complex test data, test products, and report bugs, and advise the team about overall risks and trends.
  • Coach other testers as needed
  • Provide relevant evidence and supporting documentation about the test process

Requirements

Do you have what it takes?

  1. Testing: Knowing how to systematically test software. We use Rapid Software Testing methodology, which is a kind of Context-Driven Testing. We also use Session-Based Test Management.
  2. Technology: You must be willing and able to read technical documentation and learn details of how our products work from a user’s perspective and to some extent from a developer’s perspective. You must be comfortable using various software tools to manipulate, analyse, and set up our systems
  3. Analysis: You must be able to think logically and systematically about complex situations and things. Mathematics and formal modeling skills are interesting to us, but not essential.
  4. Financial Systems: If you have knowledge about or experience of financial systems, especially in the compliance space, we would like that. It would give you insight into how our users see our products.
  5. Coding skills and tools: You should be able to code preferable in Java to build automation at the API level. We expect that you are proficient learning other coding languages if required.
