ABOUT THE ROLE
Goodlord’s mission is to provide the best renting experience in the world and we’re on the hunt for an Accounts Payable Manager, reporting directly to the Head of Payments, to help us achieve this.
We have processed over 1 billion in payments and processing over 50 million in payments per month, really cementing ourselves as one of the largest payments processors not only in the lettings industry, but also in the UK generally. We are investing heavily into payments and see it as a core part of the Goodlord platform and offering. This role will focus on the management of the core payments (holding deposits and move in monies), but will also extend into helping develop processes for our rent collection and accounts products.
No two days are ever the same at Goodlord so what you’ll be up to will vary. The pace we move at also means priorities will change and you’ll need to be comfortable with this (we’ll support you!). But these are the things that will be core to your role and will keep you busy.
The day to day stuff:
- Managing the core Payments team to make sure:
- Core payments are sent out on time and accurately
- Ensuring customer queries are responded to in a timely manner
- Improving and iterating on the payments process, leveraging stakeholder relationships to get new processes or products built
- Ensuring all client account ledgers are kept up to date and duly reconciled according to client accounting best practice
- Including carrying out daily and monthly reconciliations of client account, and Rent Collection and Accounts products
- Reporting through to management; Including:
- Daily Payments service levels
- Monthly volumes
ABOUT YOU
You should apply if you:
- Have managed a client accounting process in a letting agency
- Have managed a team in the client accounting space
- Have a deep understanding of client accounting regulations and have created and followed processes to stay compliant
- You are detailed oriented
- Have a proven history of process improvements and documenting them
- Feel comfortable in a changing environment and get energized by new challenges
It would also be great if:
- Have worked with tools such as Xero, SagePay, Netsuite
- Have got your ARLA/RICS certifications
- Have implemented new technologies within a business
- Are comfortable with using spreadsheets
