MMT have partnered with a leading financial institution to help them best utilise their data to underpin and drive forward a large scale (10million plus) digital transformation project. This role will form part of a team who will drive forward the project at inception in order to achieve sustainable solutions. Whilst initially a 6 month contract, the opportunity for longer term (or permanent) working relationships is anticipated as the project gains momentum.
What you'll bring
In order to flourish in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate substantial experience as a Data Modeler who has previously sat above sprint teams and worked with data architects to create and define solutions and schemes from scratch.
With strong data modelling capability you will be confident rationalising data at scale so experience within a large scale enterprise (such as financial service, telecoms or health) is highly desirable to showcase that you are able to extract value and features from large scale data in order to influence performance, delivery and overall efficacy.
You will provide leadership in the modelling and design of data and have a solid understanding of a broad range of Data Management disciplines in order to easily translate between non-technical stakeholders and technical practitioners and your advice will be able and support the design of the Data Modelling strategy. This will in turn translate into logical data models to support the implementation of the architecture into the clients business vision and requirements.
The ability to undertake analysis of technical data requirements, design, build and main Enterprise data models and use data modelling to create high level and relevant concepts is also essential.
Alongside this, knowledge of Kafka is also key and you will need to demonstrate that alongside your technical capabilities you are able to problem solve and can evidence having challenged current ways of working in order to translate this into best practice working alongside multi skilled Agile delivery teams.
A strong communicator with exceptional influencing skills you will be used to driving forward the implementation of data design in order to achieve best practice.
