Job Description

Job Title: HR Advisor

Location: Cardiff, Ewloe or Godalming (Hybrid)

Salary: 28,000 - 32,000

Contract type: Permanent


About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced HR Advisor to join our People Team. In this role you will provide HR generalist support on all our human resource policies and procedures, help to shape our employee journey and be responsible for maintaining excellent employee relations at Arrow.

You will work with senior stakeholders and the wider people team across a range of HR activities including organisational development, change management, talent management, performance management, employee communications and engagement.

You will be confident in managing HR activities end to end and have the appetite to support the People team as the organisation grows, whilst helping deliver Arrow’s people purpose; to provide a modern workplace environment, full of engaged, energetic, positive and curious people with opportunities to grow, develop and learn.

What you’ll do

  • Work closely with employees and line managers, providing them with expert guidance and support on the full range of HR activities.
  • Manage investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters in conjunction with managers amp; provide advice and guidance on individual employee relations cases.
  • Manage and enhance our HR platform bob including leading key project to roll out new modules within the platform.
  • Work closely with the wider people team on a variety of people projects including Talent development programme, Performance management and other future key projects.
  • Provide ongoing HR policy and process support, e.g. performance management, talent development, health amp; safety
  • Have ownership of the Arrow Employee handbook and all associated policies including updating and issuing to the group as necessary and ensuring compliance across the group.
  • Input and help manage the annual training plan, in line with outputs from individual Performance Development Reviews and in consultation with managers, follow up individual developments needs and source external training provision as and when required.

Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience in a HR advisory role
  • Confidentiality and able to work in a discreet and responsible way.
  • Good knowledge of human resources and employment law
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Patience and ability to remain calm under stressful situations
  • Ability to motivate and manage people
  • Professionalism and overall positive attitude
  • Able to champion our engagement strategy and key People initiatives
  • Collaborative with a solution-focussed approach
  • Resilient and comfortable taking ownership
  • Experience of HR software systems
  • Ability to build trust/situationally adapt to build trust with employees and
    line management
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal and an approachable
    manner
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word and Excel)
  • Adapts well to change
  • Active listening skills


Desirable

  • Qualified to CIPD Level 3 or above
