As Zinc’s CMO you will bring all your energy, experience, creativity, and passion to make a real, positive impact in the world - to the diverse founders you will attract, and to the customers and users they will serve.
With experience in marketing and comms, you will help define and deliver our strategy to position Zinc as the best place in the world for entrepreneurial talent to build and grow commercial and global solutions that address our greatest societal challenges.

With the Zinc 2 30m fund, every year we are investing in c150 founders who join our mission-led venture builder and write first cheques into c30 early stage ventures they build from scratch.
To support the creation of these new mission-driven ventures, we mobilise every year a diverse network of 200 Visiting Fellows and 50 Executive coaches who work closely with the founders, via the venture builder platform and later on with the portfolio, to support their early stage journey.
We work closely with networks of funders such as angels, early stage VCs and grant-givers who are a crucial element in the early stages of the new ventures. In addition, each mission attracts an ecosystem of thousands of people who read our newsletters, join our events and support the ventures as they build and grow.
Besides our venture builders and portfolio, Zinc also supports academics and researchers who are developing innovative solutions to our biggest societal issues, and work with them as they explore ways to commercialise their ideas and research.
Role
As the CMO you will be responsible for building our brand, and attracting top talent from around the world and across various disciplines (such as research, policy, entrepreneurship, engineering, sales, charities, creative industries, etc.) to engage with Zinc, either to apply to our venture builders and other programmes, to join our network of Visiting Fellows or coaches, to join our wider community or to join our portfolio companies as they secure funding and seek talent to grow.
You will be leading Zinc’s comms and marketing strategy, to position Zinc as the best place in the world for entrepreneurial mission-driven ambitious talent.
You will increase our brand awareness, and build a healthy, high-quality pipeline of talented individuals who want to join our various programmes and communities.
Leading our marketing and comms you will be responsible for our owned channels (website, social media, etc), our paid media (mainly but not limited to digital media campaigns), and our earned media.
You will craft and execute our events and help build and deliver our thought leadership and content strategy.
In addition, you will also work with our top portfolio companies with their Marketing amp; PR efforts as they scale.
You will be leading the marketing team, as well as responsible for the relationships with our agencies, partners, and media.
