What we’re looking for...
Following a strategic review of how modern digital Data amp; Analytics processes and technologies could support decision making at AG Barr, we have decided to create a new team to develop these capabilities on behalf of the whole business.
The Business Intelligence Analyst is a key role, responsible for helping develop our reporting and analytical solutions, data mining capabilities, and presenting back findings and tools to end users. Combining technical ability with commercial acumen to provide valuable insights into multiple areas of the business.
Reporting to the Data amp; Analytics Manager, the BI Analyst will build the technologies, processes and data to put modern Data and Analytics practices at the heart of decision making across the business.
Your responsibilities will include...
As BI Analyst your responsibilities will include;
- Partner with cross functional project teams to deliver Analytics products to meet the use-cases prioritised by the wider Digital Steering Team
- Hands on development and management of BI solutions (Looker) alongside analysing and synthesising data using BigQuery, SQL, Google GCP tools
- Analyse business processes and requirements - create and maintain documentation including requirements, design and user manuals
- Provide on-going maintenance of Analytics products to account for changes in business process and source data
- Actively reviewing the Data Analytics marketplace to inform our future BI strategy
What you’ll bring...
The successful candidate will have;
- 3+ years in an IT development or a business data analyst \ superuser role
- Strong experience of BI \ Data Visualisation tools, (Google Looker would be advantageous)
- A working knowledge of SQL alongside strong numerical and analytical skills
- Coding skills in Python would be advantageous alongside use of analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Tag Manager
