Job Description

Blacktrace manufactures a wide range of products. We are now looking for a motivated, bright and organised Production Technician to join the Operations team, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assembly of electro-mechanical products from start to finish
  • Following assembly drawings, standard operating procedures, and general good manufacturing practices
  • Carrying out Factory Acceptance Testing during and after assembly process
  • Carrying out quality control inspections during assembly process and on end of line products
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing faults on products during assembly process
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing faults on customer returns
  • Generating Non-Conformance Reports for supplier and process non-conformances
  • Assisting Ramp;D and Manufacturing Engineering teams in building and testing prototypes during Production Release projects
  • Maintaining production tooling and equipment and ensuring calibration records are up to date
  • Ensuring high standards of production are maintained and processes adhered to
  • Maintaining a clean, compliant, and organised production environment
  • Working towards and reporting on individual, team and company objectives
  • Using initiative to make improvements to workflow efficiency and overall productivity
  • Working in accordance with company and general manufacturing Health and Safety requirements

Requirements

Skills required:

  • Experienced in intricate electro-mechanical assembly and testing
  • Experienced in following assembly drawings and standard operating procedures
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail essential
  • IT literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, strong written and communication skills
  • Organised and capable of working towards a production scheduled
  • Conscientious to towards people and environment
  • Team oriented but self-motivated and able to focus on individual tasks
  • Set and maintain excellent levels of quality
  • Able to react and adapt in a dynamic amp; fast paced working environment as required
