Twinkl is looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Coordinator, who will be part of a team of two responsible for the start to finish payroll process for a UK team of 1,200 plus international subcontractors and also a small team in Australia. With large company growth expected over the next couple of years, you will play a key role in helping to ensure we maintain a streamlined and seamless service to our team.
Ongoing projects/how you’ll spend your day:
- Part of a team of 2, responsible for processing all aspects of payroll and benefits for the team
- Processing starters and leavers
- Statutory calculations such as SSP, SMP, SPP
- Resolution of payroll queries from internal colleagues
- Liaising with HMRC on queries
- Distribution of internal and external reports
- Monthly Pension Auto Enrolment processing including reconciling monthly pension contributions and running the process for re-enrolment every three years
- Preparation of monthly journals including posting directly into the finance system
You’ll work with:
- The Finance team
- Our HR team, and be part of improving processes and procedures in a busy and very important role
To succeed in the role, you will have:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience processing Payroll, preferably with little/no direct supervision
- Strong customer service skills, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills to enable you to discuss payroll information in a way that can be understood by team members outside of Finance
- Proficiency in manual calculations
- Great organisation and time management skills
- A strong work ethic and take pride in what you do
Requirements
We're interested in anyone who meets one, or a combination of the following:
- Previous experience working within Payroll
- Experience of using SagePayroll, Sage Accounting amp; Quickbooks is advantageous but not essential
