We work in small, nimble teams (squads) that work in SCRUM or Kanban to deliver exciting feature roadmaps. Our squads include Product Managers and Product Designers and part of our DNA as a company is achieving amazing things through collaboration. We place huge emphasis on collaborative ways of working, ensuring that we are following the core agile principles of Customer Collaboration over Contract Negotiation and Individuals and Interactions over Processes. We are very much a DevOps team that runs what it builds. We follow good working principles but are not afraid to Disrupt and Innovate and do things differently if we find a better way.

We’re looking for motivated, curious, collaborative new team members to help us deliver a game-changing roadmap of features with luxury-level performance and reliability. We embrace Agile principles and value collaboration both in Tech and with the rest of our colleagues across the business. You will get to work with a welcoming, inclusive team of talented Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers and Digital Product Designers.
We are looking for an Engineer who can:
- Design and build the services that power CT.com in Java with Spring Boot
- Build clean, high-quality and scalable solutions that are easy to test and maintain
- Build highly-available services using AWS (Amazon Web Services)
- Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of software architecture and design patterns, as well as experience in enterprise-standard engineering practices and tools (e.g. CI/CD and automated test/deployment)
- Draw on experience to help lead the conversation on how we refine features, turning ideas into working software
- Collaborate in an Agile team alongside other Engineers, Product Managers and Digital Designers
- Contribute to technical discussions that shape our platform with the broader Engineering team

Our stack:
- On the back end we use Java with Spring Boot on AWS (Amazon Web Services)
- On the front-end React, Redux, TypeScript, Node.js, NextJS and SCSS, and test with Jest, Enzyme, React testing library and Cypress
- Orchestration of our test and deployment process using CircleCI with GitHub, Maven
- We use Contentful and ElasticPath as our content and commerce engines respectively
- We also use Optimizely to run A/B testing on the features we build
