Job Description
We are looking for a part-qualified/newly qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA accountant to join our finance team! We are a Software Engineering company that partners with businesses to deliver software solutions.
This is a hybrid opportunity, we would require you onsite at our office in Leicester two days every two weeks.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Managing, and reviewing transactional postings.
- Ensuring an efficient and timely month end close including the preparation of bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Posting of journals and working with the rest of the finance team on the finalisation of the monthly management accounts.
- Ensuring accruals and prepayments have been checked and posted.
- Working with the finance team to drive continuous process improvement, including working cross-functionally, to create repeatable, consistent best practices.
- Overseeing inter-company accounting activities; raising settlement invoices and monitoring loans within the group companies across multiple locations.
- Having an understanding of multi currency and transfer pricing.
- Preparing financial information for external sources such as Banks, HMRC and other stakeholders.
- Supporting the external audit activities ensuring deliverables are provided in line with agreed timelines.
Requirements

- A proactive approach to problem-solving, good technical accounting skills, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
- A team player and not being afraid to get stuck in with transactional work or other ad hoc requirements.
- Being flexible and easily adapting to change.
- Being self-driven and working with little supervision towards a common team and company purpose;
- Accuracy and an eye for detail.
- Having a good understanding of VAT and completing returns.
It would be great if you:
- Are ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist or qualified by experience.
- Have payroll experience.
- Have experience in training and mentoring.
