Main Responsibilities:
Hidestore
- Weighing Hides to the grade parameters
- Moving hides into stacks for salting
- Folding the hides into the graded pallets
- Adhering to health and safety policies and procedures
- Good Housekeeping
- Communicate with your team
- Responsible for reporting back to the Slaughter Hall Manager with any issues.
- Stock Taking and stock rotation regarding first in first out.
- Picking hides for loading
Tripery
- To ensure products are cooked and cleaned to customer specification
- Chilling product
- Ensure traceability of all products
- Use of chemicals
- Always adhere to health and safety policies and procedures
- Using machinery to wash products and ensuring the correct product is on the correct wash cycle
- Responsible for wearing correct PPE (personal protective equipment)
- Report any issues back to Slaughter Hall Manager
- Start-up checks
- Shift reporting
- Outcome verifications
Hours Of Work:
Monday - Friday
07:00am Start
Full Time Contract
Pay
Starting from 11.92 per hour, increasing on a competency based assessment
Requirements
- Previous knife skills is desirable
- Experience within a Factory environment is desirable
- Experience within the Food Industry is desirable
- Good Communication
- Good Numeracy skills
- Consistent approach and strong work ethic
- High attention to detail
- Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team
- COSHH Desirable
