Who are we?

Social Value Portal is a fast-growing SaaS business with heart. We have an online solution that allows our members to measure, manage and maximise social value.

The Portal allows organisations to report both non-financial and financial data, and rewards organisations for doing more good in the community. We measure environmental, social and economic activities and help to identify and measure the additional social value delivered through a project in terms that are meaningful to customers.

About the role

This role will own proposition development and how we take them to market, including new products. In this role, you will own the ‘Go To Market’ plan, roadmap and targets for all new initiatives. You will develop a thorough understanding of the target audiences, their needs and how SVP can make a real difference to their lives.

You’ll be comfortable at lightning speed, leaving in your wake robust mechanisms for tracking and demonstrating success.

You’ll love understanding how people tick and developing ways to connect with them, through a clear understanding of how we provide benefits not products. You’ll also be switched on commercially. And we need ideas. Bold ones, small ones, any ideas which will help fast track how we achieve our goals.

What you will be doing

Brand Strategy amp; Governance (35%)

  • Develop and execute a brand strategy (brand model, brand architecture, brand identity, brand implementation) to support SVP business goals
  • Establish and manage SVP brand identity and guidelines to ensure consistency of application in line with brand strategy
  • Establish brand guardianship protocol
  • Define and clearly communicate SVP value proposition, definition of SVP propositions and high-level messaging for each audience
  • Oversee living the brand internal change programme with ‘light touch’ programme management, reporting progress to the board
  • Engage with proposition owners to clearly define the evolving customer offering (consultancy, measures, academy, accreditation etc) including creation of proprietary models which support SVP thought leader positioning
  • Establish a research model for designing and market testing product propositions
  • Define a best practice process for creation, definition and go to marketing for new proposition elements

Building Awareness amp; Consideration (35%)

  • Develop SVP corporate profile through the development and management of public relations activity (media presence and platform events) where budget allows
  • Support annual Social Value conference with positioning, branding and content input
  • Manage SVP social media channels
  • Manage a content programme to support thought leadership positioning and our business development strategy, developing and researching topics with desk and commissioned research (where budget allows) and working with copywriter(s) to create articles and publications for use in social, media and on website

Asset amp; Tool Creation (20%)

  • Develop a suite of sales enablement tools and materials to support sales conversations using data driven insights to evidence the value proposition as far as possible
  • Develop robust case studies which illustrate SVP’s value-add Manage relationship with creative, content and PR agencies / freelance support as required
  • Get the best out of your team through annual staff appraisals and personal development plans for all staff
  • Manage the annual planning and budgeting process for brand and comms
  • Manage brand and content budget to ensure best return on investment and spend within agreed amount

General (10%)

  • Build our own ‘best practice’ model, documenting and sharing.
  • Feedback and seek feedback to improve personal performance and support others
  • Input into the wider thinking to create a leading marketing function
  • Ensure all communications are clear, coherent and signed off (brand compliant)
  • Input to broader initiatives as required
