We have an exciting new opportunity for a Head of People to join the Skyports team.
Our Head of People will report to the Founder/CEO and be responsible for leading Skyports’ ambitious People roadmap. The ideal candidate will shape and progress Skyports’ people strategy, ensuring that the company has a high performance team, inclusive culture and the capability to expand in new markets.
This is a unique high-growth role with the ability to make a big impact at an important stage in the company’s growth as our first dedicated People hire.
We are a diverse team with staff based in several countries across the world. This role is based in London and will involve occasional international travel.
This is a part time role (24 hours per week) with in-built flexibility and a mixture of office and remote working. Salary is pro-rata.
As well as having responsibility for Skyports’ people roadmap, strategy and culture, your key responsibilities will include:
- Performance amp; Reward: Oversee the overall performance process, including appraisal cycles, performance and pay reviews
- Retention: Partner with senior management to define and identify career paths for employees in order to retain and develop high performing individuals
- Recruitment: Lead recruiting activities with support from function leads, including advertisement, interviewing, negotiation and hiring
- Culture: Reinforce and promote a dynamic, cohesive team culture whilst empowering employees to own and be accountable for their work
- HR Services: Develop and implement an effective onboarding and offboarding process, manage benefits offer and maintain HR software systems
Requirements
- Experience of implementing and leading a People / HR function at a fast-growing, dynamic company
- Involvement in multi-country operations
- Ability to develop and execute a People strategy in line with company strategy and culture
- Sound knowledge of current legislation in the UK (and ability to adapt to legislation across our international markets)
- Experience across the full recruitment cycle
- Proven ability to own and execute projects from scoping to implementation
- Highly effective networking, interpersonal and collaboration skills and the ability to establish working relationships
- Ability to work autonomously, take responsibility for own actions and make decisions with minimal direction
- A highly motivated, proactive, self-starter and team-player who likes a challenge and has the ingenuity and resilience to find the solutions to overcome it
