The role

This business is about to reach profitability and is looking for a talented new leader to take the business forward on the next stage of its journey to meaningfully improve the lives of renters in London. The co-living asset class is booming and this is a truly exciting time for the development of this space in the UK.

Reporting to thier Founder/Chairman, this role will take responsibility for the running of the business day-to-day, with full responsibility for all operating and commercial functions. This is an extremely exciting and challenging opportunity for a capable all-rounder looking to take their career to the next level and accelerate their development. You’ll set a strategy, build a plan and execute against it with the aim of increasing the business growth rate and building on our profitable position.

Running a business isn’t easy but few meaningful learning experiences are. You’ll be spinning lots of plates, things won’t always go to plan and you’ll have a huge amount of responsibility, but you should expect this role to be incredibly diverse and rewarding in equal measure. You’ll quickly see the impact of your work on the success of the business and you’ll have the opportunity to see your ideas through from concept to reality. Requirements

What you’ll be doing?

  • Holding full Pamp;L accountability across all lines and business areas and accountability for setting and hitting OKRs and KPIs.
  • Line-managing and coaching each team member ensuring they are supported in delivering their best and developing.
  • Working with the board and Chairman on setting a business strategy and direction to take the business forward.
  • Carrying out recruitment and further building on the established high-performance culture.
  • Reporting business performance to the board and delivering quarterly board meetings, updating on company performance.
  • Managing investor and shareholder relations.
  • Managing business legal requirements.
  • Working closely with our outsourced accountancy providers to ensure tight control and understanding of financial performance.
  • Initially, you’ll be leading some of the landlord sales efforts and will own the relationships with key accounts

About you

  • You’re a proven business leader and have managed and coached a wide range of people at different levels.
  • You love people management and are the type of person who a team rallies around.
  • You’ve held accountability for large segments of a Pamp;L and understand what it means to set and keep to a budget.
  • You’re most comfortable in environments where you have to both do and think - you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
  • You’re a strong operator and thrive on tight operational control of processes.
  • You’re comfortable with numbers and are comfortable using financial models to forecast and scenario plan.
  • You’re tech savvy and can build/fix simple processes with tools like Zapier, or are willing and able to learn.
  • You’re a great team player, but you’re comfortable working and thinking solo where needed.
  • You’ll likely have an understanding and interest in the property industry.
