This role will form an important part of the Customer Experience team. We are passionate about combining accessibility and ease of use with a beautiful online experience which keeps members engaged. We want someone who can add a consumer-first lens to an underrepresented group, delighting them at every touchpoint.
We are looking for someone who is keen to grow and try new things. Someone who is comfortable challenging the status quo with a solid understanding of user centred design best practice, conversion design and accessibility principles. This is a new role at Perci, and you will have the unique opportunity to build UX principles from the ground up.
You will be able to think conceptually and lead the execution of online visual identity as well as being skilled in conversion-led design. You’ll be hands-on and willing to work in a fast paced, ever-moving environment. You’ll keep up-to-date with the latest advances in technology, design trends and tooling.
Requirements
Essential
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a professional design environment
- You’ve been deeply involved in the creation of digital products and services; foremostly sitemaps, wireframes and specifications, but also customer and stakeholder research, expert assessment of key user flows and usability testing.
- Created user journeys, information hierarchies and experience design approaches at different levels of fidelity to suit your audience.
- Used analytics and other evaluation tools to help measure the impact of your strategies (for example Google Analytics, Hotjar etc)
- Able to work with multidisciplinary teams on a range of products, designing experiences people want, need and love.
- Comfortable with a fast-paced environment and inputting structure where it doesn’t exist
- Make the case for what you believe in, always advocating for the people who use our product in front of internal teams.
- A lover of all things Figma, Sketch and XD
- A great communicator, empath and passionate about helping others
- Able to juggle multiple projects with a great attitude, prioritising work and resources even when timelines, budgets and availabilities change
- You’ll have led projects in the past, understand the full product development process, and be comfortable pulling documentation together for supporting this process
- Eager to learn new techniques and help us improve
- Have a grasp of the technical side of things (although no coding experience required)
- Comfortable with using Atlassian project management tools e.g. Confluence and Jira
Desirable
- Service design experience, or knowledge
- Worked in a startup environment previously
- Animation and video experience would be beneficial but not essential (Adobe After Effects and Final Cut Pro)
