Job Description

The Opportunity

Nurole is the global platform changing the way organisations bring the best people on to their boards. We’re disrupting traditional search with a tech-driven process that is more efficient and effective, and creates stronger and more diverse shortlists for every role.

We are looking to hire an Associate to join one of Nurole’s busiest and most successful squads, focusing primarily on the Education sector.

You’ll sit in the Customer Success team, which is tasked with ensuring every Nurole client, and every one of our 60,000+ Nurole members, has the best possible experience when using the platform. We are obsessed with strong execution, successful outcomes, and providing brilliant customer experience on every role we run.

You’ll be responsible for executing board level role postings for a range of education sector clients. Working closely with colleagues in the business development team, you’ll lead searches from initial stages of role briefing through to research and mapping, assessment, candidate and client management, and closing.

You may also get involved in strategic projects focused on achieving specific membership aims, for example, devising strategies to ensure we reach and acquire members that will increase the breadth, diversity, and representative nature of our membership.

This is an exciting opportunity to rapidly grow your exposure to and understanding of education and non-executive search, while making a key contribution in a fast-paced and challenging sector.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading on board level assignments for education sector organisations
  • Joining role briefing calls with education sector clients
  • Writing detailed and effective role specifications ready for posting on the Nurole platform
  • Undertaking market mapping and headhunting (if needed), driving the research process autonomously by leveraging internal networks as well as resourcing tools (e.g. Linkedin, Boardex) to intelligently map the market and make sure the best candidates are identified
  • Contacting targeted candidates and engaging with senior executives and non-executives (via email and telephone), selling the Nurole platform and/or encouraging them to apply for a specific role
  • Undertaking thorough candidate assessments and sifting of applications to compile long/shortlists, and confidently and effectively participating in longlist and shortlist calls with clients
  • Appropriately and sensitively managing rejections of unsuccessful candidates
  • Undertaking referencing of candidates
  • Ensuring a smooth and positive process throughout, for both client and candidate
  • Assisting on and driving strategic projects to build Nurole’s memberbase

Requirements

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with executive or non-executive search experience, ideally in education, not-for-profit and/or the public sector, although we’re open to those with other sector expertise. You will be experienced in working on senior leadership/board level assignments. More specifically:

  • You’ll have a minimum of two years’ search/headhunting experience, working on senior executive or non-executive level mandates
  • Ideally you’ll have had some client exposure, for example having been involved in role briefings and/or shortlist calls
  • You’ll be a great communicator, especially over the phone, and will be able to appropriately and effectively communicate with Nurole’s customer base of chairs, board members and senior-level individuals
  • Your strong writing skills will mean you can draft clear, effective and appealing role specifications
  • You’re a super problem-solver with excellent research skills, and you can quickly get to grips with a complex brief
  • You’ll be uber organised and able to structure your time, stay calm under pressure, and manage a large number of assignments to tight deadlines
  • You’re highly collaborative and you’ll enjoy working in a small (c.55 people), technology-led, entrepreneurial and non hierarchical environment
  • You will be driven, ambitious, and be excited by the prospect of joining a rapidly growing organisation
  • You will have high standards of yourself and others around you and will be aligned with Nurole’s values of be better, be bold and build trust
