Role: Financial Reporting and Controls Accountant Global Technology Business
Location: Chesham (hybrid working)
The Role: This opportunity is working for an International Technology business with a brilliant brand in the sector and exciting strategy for the future. They are hiring for an exciting Financial Reporting and Controls Accountant opportunity reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager. You will be a core member of the wider finance team and therefore pivotal in maintaining high standards of both management and statutory financial reporting within the group. Furthermore, this role will evolve and become a conduit between the business and the finance team where you will spend significant time establishing relationships and providing support to senior management. Role Responsibilities:
- Supporting in the delivery of the Groups half yearly reporting to the market including planning and delivery of group audit
- Supporting the head office management accounts in the preparation of the monthly head office managements accounts
- Provide supporting role in the acquisition of new companies
- Acting as a subject matter expert regarding accounting standards specifically IFRS, including ensuring the group is up to date with all technical and reporting developments
- Supporting with the Groups IFRS 16 lease accounting software
- Owning the preparation and delivery of the FRS 101 statutory accounts for the UK subsidiaries and other head office companies
- Assisting in the administering the Groups bonus models
Candidate Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualified professional
- Excellent technical accounting skills and in-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards
- Experience of practical application of IFRS accounting, including adoption of new standards
- Experience of working within or auditing a large multinational listed group
- An excellent communicator with the ability to tell a story and go beyond the analysis
- Experience working with non-finance staff and ability to explain financial data to them
