Job Description

Senior members of the Studio work on our most complex and demanding client deliverables and deliver the highest standard as an example to more junior team members. They execute strategic brand and marketing projects as well as delivering well-researched, authoritative and clear content .

You’re part of a collaborative and supportive Studio, working alongside other writers, marketers coders and designers and guided in your craft by your line manager, our Editor in Chief.

You also work with our in-house relationship experts - our Client Partners - and help them deliver a transparent, successful and expert experience for our clients.

Responsibilities

When it comes to our work, we aim for ‘epiphany-inducing’. We work in two-week sprints, with a set allocation of work that you manage and deliver in that period. A typical sprint could see you doing a selection of:

  • Writing high-quality long-form thought leadership, web copy and short-form promotional materials such as social copy, calls-to-action and emails aligned to client goals and tone of voice
  • Developing and writing effective sales copy and other product-focused content such as brochures, one-pagers and product bibles
  • Leading on web copy projects, both content design and copy execution, as well as supporting on other design-orientated content work such as infographics
  • Leading transformational client strategy onboarding and differentiation projects, including the development and documentation of positioning, key messaging, tone of voice documents and brand books
  • Working with the Client Services team to develop and deliver marketing strategy recommendations and supporting in client problem-solving
  • Conducting SEO keyword research, blog audits and other SEO analysis and tasks
  • Conducting targeted content ideation with our client services team
  • Proofreading and editing colleagues' work (we work on a peer-editing model)
  • Working in HubSpot, supporting our clients’ marketing activities in their portals
  • Interviewing subject matter experts or liaising with key client stakeholders to extract critical information to support writing, ideation and strategy planning

Requirements

You are analytical, thoughtful, creative, passionate and intellectually curious. And whatever background and experience brought you to that is all part of what we love about you.

To excel in this role though, we need your unique story to include a few essential chapters.

In terms of skills we need you to be:

  • An experienced marketer and writer with solid commercial experience, for example as a copywriter, content marketer or similar. We need to see you can tailor your creativity to a client’s needs.
  • Able to demonstrate experience writing clearly about complex subject matter, such as tech, healthcare or similar.
  • A great communicator with confident, fluent written and spoken English. This includes being confident and professional talking to clients to resolve editorial issues around tone, focus and style
  • Able to show you understand the fundamentals of marketing strategy, brand development, inbound marketing, and strategic content and SEO initiatives.
  • Able to use SEO research tools and understand how to conduct keyword research and SEO campaigns.
  • Confident and experienced using marketing automation, collaboration and project management platforms. Preferably with experience using HubSpot.

  • Self-disciplined and process driven. You have a strong work ethic and you're good at organising yourself. We provide a lot of autonomy at Articulate and we expect diligence and rigour in return.
  • Analytical and inquisitive. We're looking for a naturally curious person, who loves to delve into new topics, especially around business and technology. You must enjoy independent research, be able to distinguish reputable sources and be adept at absorbing and processing a lot of new information quickly.
  • Supportive and able to lead by example. Even if you are not a direct line manager, we expect you to support, guide and, where appropriate, mentor more junior members of the Studio.
  • Happy to act as a champion of DEI and foster an environment where colleagues listen, respect and show interest in others’ views and ideas.
  • Brings ideas that can help us grow as a company, for example developing a skill or service that aligns with our vision and purpose.

Benefits

  • A starting annual salary of 36,000-40,000 per annum + bonus
  • 840 per y
