Blacktrace manufactures a wide range of products. We are now looking for a motivated, bright and organised Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our Marketing Team within our Particle Works brand. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media advertising, digital lead generation activity and content marketing.

Requirements

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Overall website administration including producing and publishing content on the Particle Works website SEO management, updating existing content in line with trends and business updates, identifying strategies to increase website traffic and create a better customer experience.
  • Manage and maintain all social media channels on a regular basis - including creating and scheduling engaging content, responding to comments and messages, continuing to grow audience reach and engagement, and analysing channel performance, reporting and trend analysis.
  • Generating and delivering outbound email marketing campaigns as well as managing recipient lists, and the administration of assets.
  • Assisting with the production of creative videos and photo content (in-house or with the support of an external company) to support all our marketing activities including interviewing, recording, and editing.
  • Working with the Marketing Manager and Science amp; Applications Team to create, edit and publish content (blog articles, whitepapers, case studies, and other digital content) that supports the overall marketing strategy. Such materials may include one pagers, flyers, user guides, adverts, and other digital assets in-line with briefs.
  • Collaborate with the Graphic Designer to create visually appealing marketing materials, including graphics, videos, and infographics.
  • Working alongside the Digital Analyst and Marketing Manager to support our PPC and SEO strategy and report on digital marketing activities such as email campaigns, social media and website performance, and lead acquisition.
  • Conduct market research and analyse data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Actively monitor competitors and make suggestions for improving the digital customer journey from first interaction, though to conversion.
  • Any other ad hoc marketing related ideas/tasks that may arise by working closely with the rest of the team to deliver efficient communications solutions and projects.

Skills required:

  • 1-3 years marketing experience in a relevant industry.
  • 2:1 grade or higher in a Marketing or Biological Sciences related degree or relevant CIM qualification.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of WordPress, HTML and/or familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and SEO.
  • Competent copywriter with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience working with marketing automation platforms such as Pardot.
  • Experience with customer relationship management software such as Salesforce.com.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms (in particular LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook).
  • Proficiency with programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a good eye as to what makes an engaging, consumable content from the perspective of the visitor.
  • Having a biological sciences background and or experience of working in a scientific company would be desirable but not essential.
  • Being a confident video editor would be desirable but not essential.
