About you

As a Content Designer at Viable Data, you will collaborate with all aspects of our User Centered Design team to ensure that the products and services we are delivering address the needs of the organisation as well as the end user. You are someone who can adapt quickly and easily to the flexible needs of our Central Government and other Public Sector customers. When working in a delivery capacity for our customers, you will join one of our high-performing consulting teams where you will play a pivotal role in designing amp; delivering exceptional digital products and services that directly contribute to the delivery of digital services that support UK policy, economic growth and security.

This role would suit someone from a Content Designer in a UCD team that has an interest in Service Design functions.

This role is largely remote with occasional business essential travel.

Requirements

Key responsibilities

• Plan, write and edit content for digital government services
• Assist our sales, bids and marketing teams in producing excellent, engaging written content
• Create content that is inclusive, accessible and consistent with GDS standards and that appropriate content is shown to the user in the right place and in the best format
• Work as part of a wider UCD team to research, design, build, and test user-centred products and services
• Participate in research and design-related activities, workshops, presentations and discussions
• Work with relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts to advocate for user-centred design and check that content is relevant and accurate
• Work with other designers and user researchers to create and iterate prototypes to test and communicate design concepts and user journeys

Skills and experience needed

• Proven relevant industry experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities - presenting findings and related design/business recommendations and insights clearly that stakeholders can understand and use. Able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
• Make complex language and processes simple to understand
• Write, proof and edit content in line with defined processes and standards
• Use analytics, feedback and research to inform content decisions
• People skills empathetic, great listener and have a natural curiosity to understand people, their motivations and thought processes
• Experience and understanding of a range of User Centred Design practices
• Organisation, time management and collaboration skills
