Job Description

The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Group FPamp;A Analyst to the join team as a crucial member of the Group FPamp;A team, reporting into the Senior Group FPamp;A Manager. The Snr. Group FPamp;A Analyst will be responsible for the new Travel Retail Function and supporting the Snr. Group FPamp;A Manager in preparation of the global Budget, Forecasting Cycles and Strategic Plans. Not only will the right candidate be able to guide the Finance and Commercial teams through regular reporting, analysis, and forecasting, but they will be fundamental in building a world-class FPamp;A function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the month-end close process, Forecasting and Budgeting for the Global Travel Retail Function
  • Business partnering with key Travel Retail stakeholders to understand variances to Budget/Forecast, improve processes and create efficiencies
  • Support in the timely delivery of the Group’s annual Budget and quarterly re- forecasts
  • Working with the Snr. Group FPamp;A Manager to deliver the 3-year Business Plan update
  • Support with preparation of all internal financial reporting and Board packs
  • Preparation and maintenance of external reporting templates for wider-finance team
  • Being a storyteller, through planning, designing, and producing visual reports with commentary and insights to help build a world-class FPamp;A function
  • Build strong relationships across Group and Regional Finance teams
  • Continuously seek to improve processes, controls and the quality of deliverables
  • Ad hoc projects as required by Snr. Group FPamp;A Manager or Director of Group FPamp;A

Requirements

  • Part-Qualified or Newly Qualified Accountant ACA/CIMA/ACCA equivalent
  • Previous experience in Retail/FMGC desirable
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, having the confidence to communicate clearly with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders (both finance and non-finance)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience of building and working with models and large data sets
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience using Anaplan (or a similar forecasting system) desirable
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Flexible amp; proactive, with an eagerness to learn
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise workload effectively within a scaling business
