Job Description

The Audio Director will be responsible for creating and overseeing the audio vision for our games, leading a team of sound designers, composers, and voice actors to create immersive and engaging audio experiences.

Key Duties Include

  • Collaborate with game designers, artists, and programmers to understand the game’s creative direction and develop an audio vision that supports it.
  • Lead and manage a team of sound designers, composers, and voice actors to ensure that all audio assets meet the highest quality standards.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive audio production plan for each project, including budget and schedule.
  • Design and implement sound effects, music, and voice-over recordings that enhance the player’s experience and immersion.
  • Provide creative input and guidance to the team during the development process.
  • Ensure that all audio assets are optimized for the target platforms and meet technical requirements.
  • Work closely with the game’s production team to ensure that the audio is integrated smoothly into the game.
  • Define and advocate for game audio technology which best allows the team to create world class audio experiences for our players

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of game development and how audio fits into the overall process.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, artists, programmers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve their goals.
  • Proficient in using industry-standard audio production tools, such as Wwise, FMOD, and Pro Tools.
  • Strong knowledge of audio formats, compression, and optimization for various platforms.
  • Passion for video games and a strong desire to create immersive and engaging audio experiences.

Desirable

  • Experience in AAA console development
  • Must exhibit a current passion for games and a strong sense of aesthetics applicable to producing AAA products
