    • Salary: 40k - 50k dependent on experience

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance amp; People, this role will have wide responsibilities across Finance as part of the small Finance, People and Resources team. You’ll get to see how the company operates financially from every perspective, producing management reports but also calculating amp; producing customer invoices and some transactional processing.

Responsibilities

  • Management Reporting including producing Consolidated Management Accounts (group is currently UK and NL), Statutory Audited Accounts and other statutory returns, Bessemer SaaS Metrics, Operational Dashboard, Resources amp; Expenditure Analysis amp; preparing Budgets and Cash Forecasts
  • Revenue Recognition Calculations, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, liaising with Account Managers to prepare invoices. Our business is high value, low volume, so this is a small but very important part of the role
  • Maintaining General Ledger, including Monthly Journals and Accounts Payable, checking amp; inputting purchase invoices amp; attaching electronic copies to the system. Inputs are generally high value, low volume. PKB is a paperless environment and we employ a high level of workflow automation. The role holder should ensure care, control and value in the purchasing function, obtaining sign off where necessary, querying duplication or unusual expenditure
  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
  • Performing monthly bank reconciliations in multiple currencies
  • VAT Returns in both the UK and the Netherlands
  • Working with external Payroll and People to calculate amp; input payroll
  • Audit preparation
  • All tax returns for UK amp; overseas entities including preparation of Ramp;D Tax Returns liaising with external tax advisors
  • Ad Hoc projects for example Green Reporting, B Corp Reporting, International Tax Analysis, Analysis of Software Expenditure
  • Undertaking other reasonable duties as required to support the Finance amp; People department within Patients Know Best

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience as a Management or Financial Accountant or similar
  • The ability to take ownership and full financial responsibility through to management reporting pack
  • Attention to detail and superior organisational skills
  • Proven trustworthiness in prior responsible and professional environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve, to see the bigger picture as well as the detail and to recognise what needs to be done
  • Superior IT skills, able to quickly learn a multitude of software and to work on both Apple and Windows operating systems
  • Good spreadsheet knowledge (both Google Sheets amp; Excel) - with an excellent understanding of formulas
  • Aptitude to work unsupervised and remotely in a distributed team
  • Confidence to put forward your view, proactively recommending changes to business processes and controls
  • Experience of using Xero


It would be ideal if you had:

  • Experience of working in a software or healthcare company
  • Experience of remote working
